Duke Magazine

2019

The old Duke Magazine site was outdated: messy, unorganized, not user friendly, and didn’t follow any Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. The magazine team was also unable to easily curate content and make connections between their site and the main Duke Alumni site since they lived separately. The old site did not have tags to relate other pieces of content to one another and the way it was built didn’t leave room for any customization.

Working closely with the magazine and marketing stakeholders, I created a design that addressed all of the issues with the original site. Once the designs were tested and approved by stakeholders, the files were handed off to Camille Mauban for development.

Mali Health

2019

Mali Health is a non-profit organization that helps communities end the preventable deaths of mothers and children.

The original site lacked design, cohesiveness and a connection to Mali, and needed a complete overhaul.

Working closely with their executive director, I learned about the culture and traditions of Mali and brought those elements into the design in order to tell their story in a more visual way.

Once the designs were complete, I handed off to front-end developer Camille Mauban to build in WordPress.
